1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using RoomTruth (“the Service”), operated at roomtruth.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RoomTruth is a hotel intelligence platform that provides evidence-backed scores, analysis, and information about hotel properties. Our service includes hotel search, scoring, comparison tools, saved hotels, alerts, and related features.

RoomTruth is an information service, not a booking platform. We provide intelligence to help you make informed decisions. We do not process hotel reservations, guarantee room availability, or set hotel pricing.

3. Accounts and Subscriptions

You may use certain features without an account. Creating an account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Free Tier

Limited searches, basic hotel views, and up to 3 saved hotels at no cost.

Paid Subscriptions

Premium and Power plans are billed monthly via Stripe. All paid plans include a 7-day free trial. You may cancel at any time — your access continues through the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. Data Accuracy and Limitations

RoomTruth provides hotel intelligence based on publicly available information, including official hotel websites, OTA listings, public records, press coverage, and guest reviews. While we strive for accuracy:

• Our scores are computed estimates, not guarantees. Hotel conditions can change at any time.
• We assign confidence levels to every data point. Lower confidence means less certainty.
• Opening dates, renovation dates, and other historical data may be approximate.
• Review signals are extracted from publicly available text and may not represent all guest experiences.
• We update our data regularly but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.

RoomTruth scores and verdicts are informational tools, not guarantees of hotel quality. Always exercise your own judgment when making travel decisions.

5. Booking Links and Affiliates

RoomTruth may include links to third-party booking platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, and hotel direct websites). Some of these links may be affiliate links, meaning RoomTruth may earn a commission on bookings made through them.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our scores, verdicts, or the order in which hotels are displayed. Our scoring methodology is independent of any commercial relationship.

6. Intellectual Property

The RoomTruth scoring methodology, algorithms, compiled data, user interface, and brand assets are proprietary. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our service without written permission.

Hotel names, brand names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. RoomTruth uses these names for identification and informational purposes only.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from our service
• Use automated tools to access the service beyond normal usage
• Attempt to reverse-engineer our scoring algorithms
• Misrepresent RoomTruth scores or verdicts
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

8. Limitation of Liability

RoomTruth is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoomTruth shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to unsatisfactory hotel experiences based on our scores or recommendations.

9. User Corrections

If you believe any hotel data on RoomTruth is inaccurate, you may submit a correction request. We maintain an audit trail of all data changes and take accuracy seriously. Submit corrections to data@roomtruth.app.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
